A major Urban walkway is under development by our members. Trees have been cut and bridges built connecting existing walkways, bridle trails. We have some access issues to work through before details are announced in

Working Bee on Sunday 26 June at noon. Bring loppers, grubbers and gloves. Ring Mr Easte for details. If anyone asks we are taking out Privot and other weed plants.
Robin suggested we attend community events to gather local knowledge of problems and generate interest in Walk Auckland
Robin will put together a plan. Need to include areas outside Auckland City
Regional Plan and Regional Policy statement
We need to find out how we can influence these. The Regional Transport plan is released tomorrow.
State Highway 20 and Glouster Park Onehunga
Bridget is consulting with Transit about keeping as much park as possible.
Mangere / Onehunga shore walk
Bridget reports both community boards are kean to this to happen. We noted the old Mangere Bridge was being repaired but we don't know who is paying the bill.
Hamlins Hill and Annes Creek connection
We support this and we need to push Auckland City on this subject to make the connection a reality.
Walking Access to NZ outdoors
We will write again to Cabinet and Minister Sutton supporting public access.
Newton Rd crossing
Rae will followup the last letter to Auckland City
Walk 21 in Zurich and Andy Smith will attend
The meeting decided Walk Auckland will donate $500 to his expenses to attend the conference.
