The next project is described as Clear the Footpath.
WIth Claire Dixon to see if it fits criteria
Kit presented letters from Transit and Auckland Citys David Rankin; who both say our name is now on the list of consulted groups.
Walking is a form of transport and this needs to be pushed as a concept. As we can't have dangerous road surfaces so to for footpaths. Improve pedestrian links, safe and attractive. These thoughts need to be submitted to the ACC long term community plan
We must follow this up.
Vegetation on paths is a problem for walkers. We will start by looking at council property and parks. Making calls to the ACC call centre to get this cut back. Longterm a campaign aimed at home owners as well.
All, find a park, walk around it and report overhanging vegetation to Council.
